NIAER
publishes a decision paper
“Payments for Generation Capacity”
Following discussion with the NI electricity
industry and earlier consultation (August 2002), the Authority
decision is outlined in the paper “Payments for Generation
Capacity”.
The
paper recognises the need to develop a scheme to reward generators
for providing generation capacity, and will add a degree of
financial underpinning to any new generator which considers
entering the liberalised electricity generation market in NI.
